BANTRY HOUSE & GARDENS

Bantry House & Gardens and The 1796 French Armada Exhibition Centre is within walking distance from the hotel. Bantry House is a stately home overlooking Bantry Bay in the south west of Ireland. It is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Shelswell–White and their children. Since 1945 the house containing its important collection of furniture, tapestries and objects d'art has been open to the public.

BANTRY BAY GOLF CLUB

Westlodge Hotel has a long standing association with Bantry Bay Golf Club. We offer guests guaranteed tee times at a special rate. This challenging 18 hole championship course which is just 10 minutes drive from the hotel was designed by Christy O' Connor Junior of Ryder Cup fame, with great variety, from a Par 3 a mere 126 metre to a Par 5 of 487 meters to a two tier green which demands skilful versatility. Bantry Bay Golf Club's 18 hole Championship Course is open all year. Fourteen holes immediately overlook the shore of Bantry Bay. There are splendid panoramic views across the sea and islands, and some breathtaking views of the Beara peninsula, Sheep's head and the Mizen Pennisula.
